The Story: This song has magical powers. It makes you want to get married in the temple. It inspires you to reach high and become that person that you want to be married to for eternity.

One afternoon, I was waiting for my friend Andy to pick me up and go do something fun. I was at at the piano just messing around, when the chorus just came right out of my fingers and I began to play "Only him, meeting him, I will adore him and no other. Pure love dressed in white, I will labor to be all I can become." The doorbell rang, and I thought 'Well, that was neat. I'll work on this later."

I began to write some verses, and thought it would be neat to make it a duet. The words completely spoke of my young teenage girl dream to find an eternal companion and get married in an LDS temple. The boy verse shows how much of a romantic I am.

This song was a huge hit with the choir. One time we rehearsed it, something really darling happened. The part when the boy and girl sing their separate parts together, the boy starts off singing 'When will I go on bended knee to prove myself to her?' Well, all the guys got down on one knee singing that part to the girls. Yes, we girls nearly died in bashfulness and adoration of our awesome guy friends. Best memory ever.

The Message:

"I know the exquisite joy that comes from an eternal marriage sealed at a temple altar through the holy sealing power. When there is righteousness, a commitment to give of self, obedience to the commandments of God, and the resolve to seek His will in all things together, that joy is unspeakable. I do not have words to express the fulfillment and peace that flow from such a supernal experience, even when there is a temporary interruption of the glory of life together on earth. It is that joy and happiness I want so much for each of you. More importantly, that is what your Father in Heaven wants for you." Richard G. Scott -1

I believe that there is life after death, and families are not separated when they leave this life on earth. Our loving Heavenly Father has provided a way for families to be sealed, linked together, for eternity, and it is through his holy temple.
